Installation

Mount the flap on your door, plug in the power. The device does not need internet.

Register cats

In the app (Bluetooth), give each cat a name and photo. Activate learning mode to pair its RFID badge.

Set opening hours, enable notifications. All settings are stored on the flap.

Data protection

A 100% offline cat flap

MiawTech is designed to respect your privacy. No internet connection is needed for operation:

  • No Wi‑Fi: Communication is exclusively via local Bluetooth between your smartphone and the flap.
  • No account: You don't need to create any account or provide an email address.
  • No personal data collected: No information (cat names, history, settings) is transmitted outside your device.
  • Local notifications: Alerts are generated directly by the app on your phone, without passing through a server.
  • Data stored locally: History and profiles remain on your phone; you can export them as CSV if you wish.

In accordance with GDPR, we do not process any personal data. Your privacy is protected by default.
